Caring & Sharing
A vital part of learning and development at the toddler stage is the importance of ‘Caring’
- caring for the environment, caring for ourselves and who cares for us and 'Sharing' - learning how to share, turn take and build on basic relationships to allow them to develop socially and emotionally.
Our Toddlers promote positive people, such as dentists and doctors and have discussions on trust, relationships and emotions. We help build confidence with activities relating to our focus, such as crossing the road, having empathy for a friend or safety while engaged in risk play. To encourage and embrace Caring and Sharing abilities our Toddlers as well as Babies and Preschoolers have introduced an innovative daily practice - 'Cuddle Circles', click below for more details, which has now been adopted during our Staff meetings, Boards meetings and Parent's Forum to exert a bonding and caring approach which we instill in our children as well as our team. In addition we would like to share our findings on 'Happiness' which we have spread throughout VIP Childcare, again to enhance relationships, attachments and primarily Empathy simply through a story 'Have You Filled Your Bucket Today’ by Carol McCloud. |
