By engaging in experiences within the expressive arts, our toddlers recognise and represent feelings and emotion both of their own and others. Exploring through art, music, drama and imaginative play our toddlers begin to develop a sense of their world - where happiness and a sense of accomplishment can be achieved with the gentle encouragement of our passionate practitioners.
We provide our toddlers with opportunities that centre on expressing ideas, thoughts and feelings through creativity and self expression as they are at the 'all about me' stage learning to manage and develop their awareness of themselves and others around them. Our toddler's develop skills and abilities for the future through play for example the opportunity to bake enables our children to develop their vocabulary, social interaction and basic mathematics simply from the weighing and mixing of the ingredients in a group environment. Our toddlers develop their own movement and flare as they listen and dance to different cultural sounds and rhythms and by exploring the sensory elements of music, learning songs from different countries and the discovery of instruments. |
