Little Explorers

We understand that babies learn through their senses and we nurture this natural intuition by encouraging them to explore both with reassurance and support from their key worker. We feel children who are secure and content in their environment will have the ability to explore more confidently – love and cuddles not only provide strong bonds and attachments for our babies but are the foundation to which we build their learning and development.

We introduce our babies to sensory stimulating experiences both in and outdoors. We believe in the use of Treasure Baskets to provide our babies with rich sensory stimulation where they begin to learn and discover basic number and science effects; awareness of ‘cause and effect’ with rattles -recognizing that by shaking them they make a sound and recognition of different sizes, shape, texture and taste!

Our outdoor learning is endless where our babies have the opportunity to discover nature first hand, exploring through the local gardens and parks with their friends and our loving practitioners in our inward facing prams which allow not only the destination of our outings to be enriching but our travel from our setting just as flourishing for our alert little explorers.
