Nursery Exchange

To connect to another childcare setting, give practitioners the opportunity to share good practices, record experience and contribute their findings to the rest of the team - VIP Childcare Moray, Elgin and The Ark Nursery, Dundee participated in an exchange programme whereby (working in partnership with Dr Suzanne Zeedyk) two childcare practitioners from both childcare providers experienced a week working in another setting enabling them to gain first-hand experience of another day to day running and routine of another childcare setting.
The exchange gave us inspiration to implement the following into our setting; To have more child friendly furniture in the baby room and to introduce video reflection to VIP Childcare to enhance our practice and evaluate situations both to improve staff development and team dynamics allowing us to continue to improve VIP Childcare’s experience for each child. We believe this is a foundation for future exchanges with or out with Scotland/ UK and is a great training tool for personal staff development and a vehicle for sharing good practices and ideas in the development and education of our youngest children. |
