Zoo Lab

To coincide with our child led interest in “animals” we invited Zoolab to come into nursery to put forward a curriculum based workshop, facilitated by an experienced animal handling expert. Complementing our existing project with an inspirational and environmentally awareness ranger, was an amazing opportunity for the children, getting the opportunity to handle a variety of insects and amphibians.

The children’s faces lit up with both interest and excitement as they waited patiently for their turn, enthusiasm filled the air with an abundant of learning opportunities. The children listened with interest and exhilaration as the ranger began to speak, informed the children of many attention-grabbing facts. Exploring how animals and plants depend on each other, the wonder of nature, physical differences, characteristics and the environmental impact of human activity, suggesting ways in which we can live in a more environmentally way.
