Discovering  Nature

The learning opportunities outdoors are endless, we embrace the outdoor environment on a daily basis from learning basic road safety awareness, engaging socially within the community and appreciating nature itself simply from experiencing nature trails in the woods, sight seeing at the local pond or a reading session at our local library. All of our children wear hi-visibility vests and enjoy sharing their outdoor experiences with their friends on our 'Walk-o-diles' this ensures the safety and security of our children yet encourages them so interact and connect to their peers about their discoveries.

Our Toddlers have developed a small indoor environment which enables the children to sow seeds and plants and then water and care for them. Through this activities they develop an understanding of the growing processes and the circle of life which lead to a project where our toddlers went on a ’worm hunt’ and made and kept their own 'wormery'.

VIP Childcare promotes all forms of Eco-friendly experiences, currently our preschool are aiming to achieve the 'Green Flag' in Eco-Schools and our toddlers are supporting this by being introduced to basic waste minimisation- recycling paper and cans and picking up litter as part of their outdoor adventures.
